2023 Ford SUV AWD Police Interceptor
This vehicle was purchased using ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act) grant funds for $43,030.00 and was ordered in October of 2022 and was fully equipped and put into service in June of 2023. This unit has a 3.0 Liter V-6 EcoBoost engine and you will notice the paint color is a Dark Blue which is a bit different than the Ultra Blue color of Vehicle #2 and #3. This vehicle matches Vehicle #1, however, the graphic design/lettering color scheme remains the same on all vehicles.
This unit does not replace any other unit in the fleet and is an additional patrol vehicle for the Department. With the aging of the other units in the current PD fleet, rotation of vehicles for when maintenance and repairs are needed and shifts overlapping, this was a prime opportunity and time to add the extra unit.
All four vehicles in our fleet are now the same make, model and style and the year-round performance found in the All Wheel Drive is key especially during the winter and on trail type access roads.
