In compliance with P.A. 56 of 2012, the Gerrish Township Police have been delegated the responsibility of the local entity dock permitting process referred to P.A. 56 of 2012. The Police Department has worked with the Township Attorney to draft the Dock Permit for usage. All permits will be handled by Chief Muszynski or Lt. LaBonte and at this time no permit fees will be charged to obtain a permit. All permits issued will expire on November 1st of the given year of the permit. The permit language is contained in the statute. Failure to secure the permit becomes a violation of the statute.
We look forward to making this process as seamless and convenient as possible in order to guarantee lake access for all who wish to visit our lake.
