As of April 1, 2022, all Camping Permits will be obtained at the Gerrish Township Police Department. They are available Monday-Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Permit fee is $2.00 and the signed permit and fee must be received by the Gerrish Township Police Department to be valid.
Here is an example of the Camping Permit:
Permits are obtained based on the property address and each property may use no more than three 4-day permits, one 10-day permit or one Special Exception permit (up to 180 days) per calendar year.
You may choose to use your calendar year allotment of three 4-day permits and one 10-day permit consecutively for a total of 22 days. However you will have to pay all four permit fees totaling $8.00 and your permits for the year will be used all at once.
